The Workshop on the Revitalising Historic Buildings Through Partnership Scheme (the Revitalisation Scheme) was held at the Lecture Theatre of Science Museum in the morning of 3 April 2008. It was held to

  1. elaborate on various major elements of the Revitalisation Scheme;
  2. using Lui Seng Chun as an example, illustrate typical technical problems that would be encountered in revitalising historic buildings and possible ways to overcome them;
  3. brief participants on how the application form was to be completed; and
  4. answer questions raised by the participants.

Speakers from Government include representatives from the Development Bureau, Antiquities and Monuments Office, Architectural Services Department, Buildings Department, Fire Services Department, Home Affairs Department, Lands Department and Planning Department.

A total of 217 persons from 116 NGOs attended the workshop. In the two Q&A sessions, a total of 18 questions were raised. The major questions raised and answers have been uploaded to our website. Furthermore, the powerpoint presentations at the Workshop have also been put onto our website for reference.
