The Historic Buildings Drawing Competition, a highlight of the Development Bureau's public awareness campaign on heritage conservation for 2009, has concluded successfully. The public response has been overwhelming, with over 560 participants taking part. Winners have vividly captured the heritage value, uniqueness and beauty of Central Police Station Compound and the Liu Man ShekTong Ancestral Hall.

Summary of Competition

There are two categories in the drawing competition: Junior (aged 6 to 12) and Youth (aged 13 to 18). There were 252 and 316 entrants in the Junior and Youth category respectively. The jury selected four Winning Awards and nine Merit Awards from each category.
