In 2014, a series of 4 heritage lectures, namely, ‘Master Class Distinguished Lecture Series:
Master Builders on Materials and Techniques of Conservation Projects in Mainland China and Hong Kong’, will be held by the following co-organisers:

Commissioner for Heritage’s Office of Development Bureau
Antiquities and Monuments Office of Leisure and Cultural Services Department
Architectural Conservation Programme of the Faculty of Architecture, The University of Hong Kong;
Cultural Heritage Management, The School of Professional and Continuing Education, The University of Hong Kong; and
Construction Industry Council

Heritage conservation professionals from Mainland and Hong Kong will be invited to share the experience and discuss:
1. Techniques used for heritage buildings
2. Materials used for heritage buildings
3. Knowledge in heritage buildings construction management

The topic of the first session of the lecture series is ‘Materials and Techniques of Heritage Buildings in Southern China’, details are as follows:
