Three historic buildings declared as monuments
The Government today (May 20) gazetted a notice announcing that the Antiquities Authority (i.e. the Secretary for Development) has declared Jamia Mosque and Hong Kong City Hall in Central, and Lui Seng Chun in Mong Kok as monuments under the Antiquities and Monuments Ordinance. Photo shows the front façade of Jamia Mosque. The minaret with its balcony is the most prominent feature of Jamia Mosque.
