The Conservation and Revitalisation of Historic Buildings Photo Competition, a highlight of the Development Bureau’s public awareness campaign on heritage conservation, has concluded successfully. The public response has been overwhelming and 1,099 high-quality photos were received. Through the camera, the winners have vividly captured the value, uniqueness and beauty of historic buildings in Hong Kong.
There are two categories in the photo competition: Youth (aged 10 to 17) and Open (aged 18 and above). A total of 120 entrants submitted 241 photos in the Youth category. In the Open category, there were 338 entrants submitting 858 photos. The jury selected three Winning Awards and 30 Merit Awards from each competition category.
The judging of entries was on March 19 at the Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre at Kowloon Park, Tsim Sha Tsui. With the high quality of entries, the jury members had a hard time selecting the winning entries among the 1,099 photos. The jury members are
