The Advisory Committee on Revitalisation of Historic Buildings (Advisory Committee) has completed the assessment of the proposals submitted for revitalising four historic buildings under Batch IV of the Revitalising Historic Buildings Through Partnership Scheme (Revitalisation Scheme). The Secretary for Development has accepted the Advisory Committee’s recommendation.

Since the launch of Batch IV of the Revitalisation Scheme in December 2013, a total of 26 applications had been received for revitalising the four historic buildings. After months of hardwork by the Advisory Committee, the following three revitalisation projects were selected:

The Committee did not recommend any proposal for revitalising King Yin Lei. The Secretary for Development has accepted the Committee’s recommendation that King Yin Lei would not be included in the next batch of the Revitalisation Scheme. It will be managed by the Government instead and opened for public enjoyment. The Development Bureau is examining the long-term use of King Yin Lei and would announce the details in due course.
