No. 12 School Street

The building at No. 12 School Street was constructed in 1949 to replace an earlier pre-war building named Hung Shing Yi Hok (literally, Confucius free school for the poor) founded in the late Qing Dynasty. This school was funded by donations of local inhabitants. The most generous patron of the school was Mr. Lau Chu-pak (1867-1922), an eminent leader of the community.

Old Dairy Farm Senior Staff Quarters

Old Dairy Farm Senior Staff Quarters was built in 1887 and is the oldest of the remaining Dairy Farm buildings in Hong Kong. It used to be the dwelling house of the farm manager. It is a 2-storey building situated in the north-western corner of the cowshed compound.

Lady Ho Tung Welfare Centre

Lady Ho Tung Welfare Centre was situated at Kwu Tung and built by the government in 1932-33 with donations from Sir Robert Ho Tung for use as a welfare centre for local residents. The centre was a mixed architectural style combining western Arts and Crafts with local vernacular features. It is named after Lady Ho Tung, whose original name was Mak Sau-ying, the first wife of Sir Robert Ho Tung.

King Yin Lei (Re-launch)

King Yin Lei (Re-launch)

Originally named "Hei Lo", King Yin Lei was built by Mr. Shum Yat-chor and Mrs. Shum Li Po-lun in 1937. Mr. Shum Yat-chor was a notable merchant and philanthropist in Xinhui of Guangdong Province. The building was sold in 1978 to Mr. Yeo (Yow) Chei Man and his son Mr. Yow Mok-shing, who renamed the building as "King Yin Lei". The building was resold to its previous owner in August 2007.
